Arrive Entebbe and Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Lake Mburo National Park is a compact gem, conveniently located close to the highway connecting Kampala to the parks of western Uganda. It's the smallest of Uganda's savannah national parks and home to 350 bird species, along with animals such as zebra, impala, eland, buffalo, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, hippo, topi, and reedbuck, plus the occasional hyena. Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, you'll be met by our guide/driver, who will welcome you to Uganda — the Pearl of Africa — brief you about the safari, and then set off for Lake Mburo National Park.

Lake Mburo Morning Game Drive & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Enjoy an early breakfast, then set off for an exciting morning game drive in the park. Expect to see the gigantic eland antelope, zebras in big numbers, topis, impalas, buffaloes, and other savannah animals. Afterwards, return to your accommodation, check out, and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi is home to over 500 mountain gorillas — roughly half of the world's population — including several habituated groups that can be trekked. With a strenuous day ahead, you'll keep things low-key on arrival: check in to your accommodation and relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the next morning.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi, Batwa Community Visit & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide, you'll enter the gorilla sanctuary for your gorilla trekking adventure. The rainforest is spectacular — dramatic, steeply forested, and incredibly dense, but crisscrossed by numerous trails allowing access to visitors. The time taken and terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you locate a gorilla group, you'll be allowed an hour in their presence — an awesome, unforgettable experience. Return to your lodge for lunch, then set off for the Batwa community experience, where the Batwa (once forest-dwelling people) demonstrate traditional performances such as dances and fire-making. Afterwards, check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, framed by lush, terraced hills reaching heights of 2,200–2,478m, with 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water.

Depart Bunyonyi for Your Outbound Flight at Entebbe Airport
Have a relaxed breakfast at your accommodation, with spectacular views of Lake Bunyonyi's little islands right in front of you, before beginning your return journey to Entebbe Airport. Expect a stopover in Mbarara town for lunch en route, arriving late afternoon or evening for your drop-off at the airport.
